Introduction

In a severe workplace accident, two men sustained chemical burns at a site in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane. They were rushed to the hospital for urgent medical care.

Incident Overview

The incident occurred at approximately 10:39 AM when Queensland Ambulance Service responded to a call from a workplace in Acacia Ridge. The two victims, both in their 40s, suffered extensive chemical burns to multiple body parts.

Details of the Injuries

One of the men received serious burns to his face, chest, and back, warranting immediate transport to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition. The second man sustained minor burns to his arms, chest, and back and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a stable condition.

Current Investigation

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) has commenced an investigation into the circumstances leading to the accident. As this is an active inquiry, further details are withheld at this time.
