The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash in Griffin this evening, July 18.

Around 5.10pm, emergency services responded to a crash between a Ducati Panigale motorbike and a Mitsubishi Triton at the intersection of Brays Road and Tesch Road.

The motorbike rider, a 51-year-old Griffin man, sustained critical injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the ute, a 45-year-old Griffin man, and his teenage passenger did not receive any significant injuries.

Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone with relevant vision to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the collision.
