Incident Overview
A 57-year-old woman has died and a 22-year-old man has been seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash at Newlands, near Bowen, on Tuesday morning, October 28, 2025.

At approximately 9:15 am, an Audi Quattro travelling along Bowen Development Road collided with an Isuzu D-Max travelling in the opposite direction.

The female driver and sole occupant of the Audi, from Roseneath, was declared deceased at the scene. The male driver of the Isuzu sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Townsville Hospital for urgent treatment.

The Forensic Crash Unit has commenced investigations and is appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage from the area.
