The Facts about Margaret Lewis’s Pedestrian Accident Case and Settlement Process
Margaret Lewis, a 75-year-old retiree, was struck by a vehicle while walking through a shopping centre car park at [redacted] in early 2021.
She sustained the following injuries:
- Injury to her left shoulder.
- Hip injury.
- Psychiatric disorder resulting from the incident.
The matter proceeded to conference but did not resolve. Litigation followed in the District Court, however Margaret instructed Carter Capner Law that she did not wish to proceed to trial.
Negotiations continued, and the claim was resolved for $85,000 inclusive of costs.
