The P&O cruise departed from Brisbane and sailed directly into a category 5 cyclone, with passengers claiming they were not given the option to cancel.
It was intended to be a seven-day cruise from Brisbane to the tropical islands of New Caledonia and Vanuatu in the South Pacific Ocean.
Instead, the P&O Pacific Aria sailed directly into the path of a category 5 cyclone, resulting in a “cruise from hell” as described in a class-action lawsuit against the cruise operators.
Carter Capner Law has filed a claim for damages and a refund of fares against Carnival PLC, the parent company of P&O.
