Circumstances:
The helicopter was conducting mustering operations south of Elliott in the Northern Territory. During manoeuvring flight, the tail rotor struck the ground.
Following the tail rotor strike, the helicopter rolled over. The Robinson R22 sustained substantial damage as a result of the rollover.
The pilot, who was the sole occupant, received minor injuries. The ATSB was notified of the occurrence and recorded the accident in accordance with its aviation safety reporting processes.
