Circumstances:

On October 30, 2025, a Brumby 610 Evolution light aircraft was involved in a forced landing incident near Port Macquarie, New South Wales.

At approximately 05:26 local time, while en route from Narrabri to Port Macquarie, the aircraft experienced an engine failure during the descent phase. The pilot performed an emergency forced landing approximately 3.7 km east of the Port Macquarie Aerodrome.

The aircraft sustained substantial damage upon landing, but the pilot and any passengers onboard were uninjured. Emergency services were alerted, and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) initiated an investigation into the mechanical failure.

Preliminary information suggests that the engine failure may have resulted from an internal mechanical malfunction. The ATSB will review the engine maintenance records, flight path data, and fuel system configuration as part of its ongoing investigation.
