Shortly before 2:30am, a blue Isuzu ute collided with a power pole at the intersection of Lennon Street and McCormack Street. Police allege the Isuzu ute had been stolen from a Trinity Park residence on 5 December.
- A 16-year-old Earlville boy has been charged with:
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance
- Unlawful use of a motor vehicle
- Driving a motor vehicle without ever holding a licence
- Receiving tainted property
- The boy is expected to appear before Cairns Childrens Court on 8 December.
- Investigators continue to review CCTV, dashcam, and witness information.
