An 82-year-old woman has been critically injured in a four-car crash in Oakleigh, Melbourne. The incident occurred early Monday morning, December 9, 2024, and involved a Mercedes SUV colliding with a Nissan Micra, which then impacted two other vehicles.

The crash happened around 12:15 am on Warrigal Road in Oakleigh, Melbourne, near the intersection with Dandenong Road.

Vehicles Involved

Four vehicles were involved in the crash: a white Mercedes SUV driven by the 82-year-old woman, a blue Nissan Micra, and two other cars (makes and models not specified).

Crash Description

The Mercedes SUV collided with the Nissan Micra, causing the Micra to crash into two other parked cars. The sequence of events and the cause of the initial collision are under investigation.  

Injuries

The 82-year-old woman driving the Mercedes SUV sustained life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition in the hospital. No other drivers were injured in the crash.  

Emergency Response

Emergency services attended the scene and transported the critically injured woman to the hospital.
