Incident Overview
A minibus carrying members of a groom’s party crashed in the NSW Hunter Valley region on the morning of Wednesday, 31 July 2025. The vehicle rolled multiple times and came to rest about 150 metres down an embankment. Two people, including the groom, are in critical condition.

- Critical Injuries: Groom, a 56-year-old man with serious limb injuries; another male passenger in his 60s with head injuries – both airlifted to John Hunter Hospital
- Other Injuries: Four others, including the driver, were taken to hospital via ambulance in non-critical condition
Crash Description
NSW Police confirmed that the bus veered off Mount View Road near the entrance to Carillion Wines and Bistro Molines. It rolled up to seven times and came to rest down a steep embankment. Emergency crews, including NSW Ambulance and Fire & Rescue, conducted a complex rescue operation with one patient taking 45 minutes to extricate from the vehicle.
Road and Traffic Impacts
Traffic impacts were localised to the Mount View area as emergency crews responded. No widespread closures were reported.
Investigation
The crash is under investigation by NSW Police. Authorities are assessing whether seatbelt use and road conditions contributed to the accident. The driver will undergo mandatory blood and alcohol testing. The exact cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
