Incident Overview
A 64-year-old man died after a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a four-wheel drive at East Barron, west of Cairns, on Saturday, 16 August 2026.

- Location: Gillies Range Road, East Barron, Queensland.

- A black Harley Davidson motorcycle.
- A silver SsangYong Rexton.
Fatality and Injuries
The motorcycle rider, a 64-year-old man from Parramatta Park, died at the scene. His pillion passenger, a 50-year-old woman, was taken to Cairns Hospital with serious injuries.
The Rexton’s front passenger sustained minor injuries. Police said its driver and two rear passengers were not physically injured.
Police Investigation and Appeal
