Incident Overview

A serious three-car crash occurred on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at approximately 9:00 pm on Port Elliot Road, near Middleton, on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula, following a high-speed pursuit involving a white Holden Commodore.

The driver of the vehicle was allegedly travelling at 146 km/h in a 60 km/h zone before police attempted to stop him. The car turned around in Goolwa and continued to evade police, eventually causing a multi-vehicle collision.

The driver of the Commodore, a 41-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. A 65-year-old woman in a Land Rover also suffered injuries after her vehicle rolled. A 35-year-old man in another car was not injured.

South Australian Police are investigating the crash and have urged witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
