Incident Overview
A critical incident investigation has been launched following a police pursuit that ended in a crash on Railway Parade in Canley Vale , Sydney’s south-west, on Thursday, April 24, 2025 , at approximately 7:20 pm .

The incident began when police attempted to stop an unregistered Ford Falcon traveling on McBurney Road in Cabramatta . The driver allegedly failed to comply, leading to a pursuit that traveled approximately 2.5 kilometers into nearby Canley Vale , where the vehicle crashed into a power pole .

The 33-year-old female driver and her 35-year-old male passenger were treated at the scene for serious injuries before being transported to Liverpool Hospital in critical condition .

Specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene, and a Critical Incident Team from the Campbelltown City Police Area Command is now investigating. The investigation will also undergo an independent review .
