Introduction
A devastating car crash on the Pacific Highway in Charmhaven, NSW, has resulted in the death of a 17-year-old boy and the charging of his 19-year-old sister, who was allegedly driving the vehicle.

Crash Overview
The fatal accident occurred just before 1:30 am on Wednesday when the siblings’ station wagon veered off the Pacific Highway and collided with a tree. The young man tragically died at the scene.

Investigation and Charges
It has been revealed that the 19-year-old woman was driving on a suspended license. She has since been charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death, failing to stop and assist after a vehicle impact causing death, and driving while suspended.  

Community Concern
Locals have expressed concerns about the safety of the stretch of road where the accident occurred, noting that it is notorious for accidents. One witness described the crash as the “worst case” they had ever seen.

Road Closure and Reopening
The Pacific Highway was closed in both directions for several hours following the crash but has since reopened.
