A man has died following a traffic crash at Broadbeach on Sunday afternoon, August 24, 2025. At approximately 3:25 pm, a Mitsubishi Triton travelling southbound struck a pedestrian at the intersection of the Gold Coast Highway and Victoria Avenue. The pedestrian, a 30-year-old man from Burleigh Waters, was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with life-threatening injuries but died on Wednesday, September 10. The driver of the Triton, a 17-year-old man, was not physically injured and returned a negative roadside test for alcohol and drugs.

Emergency Response
