The first incident occurred at Huggett Drive in Dalwallinu, where a man in his 20s was fatally injured in an accident involving a forklift around 12:40 pm on Wednesday. Hours later, a 32-year-old man met a tragic end in O’Connor when he was crushed while working in the basket of an elevating work platform at a construction site around 2:40 pm.

Investigations and Responses

WorkSafe has initiated investigations into both incidents to determine the causes and to identify any breaches of workplace safety standards.
