In a somber turn of events, two men have lost their lives in separate workplace incidents in Western Australia, prompting investigations by WorkSafe and highlighting the inherent dangers within the construction industry.

Incident Overview

The first incident occurred at Huggett Drive in Dalwallinu, where a man in his 20s was fatally injured in an accident involving a forklift around 12:40 pm on Wednesday. Hours later, a 32-year-old man met a tragic end in O’Connor when he was crushed while working in the basket of an elevating work platform at a construction site around 2:40 pm.

Investigations and Responses

WorkSafe has initiated investigations into both incidents to determine the causes and to identify any breaches of workplace safety standards.
