Details of the Incident

On October 10, 2024, while participating in a scheduled lifeboat drill, an Indonesian crew member, on his first contract with Margaritaville at Sea, was fatally injured. The incident took place as the lifeboat was being lowered, leading to severe injuries that resulted in the crew member being found unresponsive on the deck.

Emergency procedures were immediately enacted, but despite the rapid response, the crew member could not be revived. The incident deeply affected the ship’s crew and passengers, prompting an investigation into the safety measures and protocols during such drills.
