Introduction
A crew member died after going overboard from Hebridean Princess in the Sound of Mull near Oban, Scotland, on June 16, 2026.
What Happened
The crew member went overboard shortly after 8:00 pm while the vessel was operating in the Sound of Mull. The person was later recovered but did not survive.
Response and Investigation
The UK Coastguard, Police Scotland and the Procurator Fiscal were involved in the response and investigation. Authorities said the death was not being treated as suspicious, and the crew member’s next of kin were notified.
