Costa Diadema passenger medevac operation was carried out on December 29, 2025, after a 56-year-old woman was reported to have suspected bacterial meningitis while the ship was sailing off southern Brazil.

Costa Diadema was travelling from Santos to Buenos Aires when emergency medical support was requested near Mar Grosso, in Laguna, Santa Catarina. The ship remained approximately 1 kilometre offshore while a tender transported the passenger toward the harbour entrance. The Santa Catarina Military Fire Department assisted the operation and escorted the tender.

The passenger was taken ashore, assessed at the pier and transported by ambulance to Laguna Hospital for further evaluation. No official update on her condition was reported. After the transfer, Costa Diadema was cleared to resume its voyage.
