Rough sea conditions in New Zealand’s Cook Strait have caused disruptions to ferry services, with Interislander canceling sailings and Bluebridge warning of potential delays and uncomfortable crossings.
The Interislander ferry Aratere’s 4:00 p.m. sailing from Wellington and the 8:50 p.m. service from Picton have been canceled due to heavy seas. Passengers affected by these cancellations are being accommodated on alternative sailings.
Bluebridge services remain operational but are advising passengers to expect potentially uncomfortable crossings with longer travel times and possible delays due to the rough conditions.
