Introduction
On June 16, 2024, a medical emergency aboard Carnival Magic prompted a medevac operation by the U.S. Coast Guard shortly after the ship departed Miami on its Eastern Caribbean itinerary.

Details of the Incident
As the ship set sail from PortMiami, the Captain announced over the ship’s public address system that they were returning to Miami due to a medical emergency. Passengers reported witnessing the Coast Guard helicopter evacuating the affected individual approximately an hour later. No details about the passenger’s condition or the nature of the medical emergency were officially disclosed. Following the medevac, Carnival Magic resumed its voyage and continued to the next scheduled port of call, Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic.

The prompt response of the Coast Guard ensured the passenger received immediate medical attention, emphasizing the critical role of emergency services in ensuring the safety and well-being of those at sea.
