Circumstances:
A Piper PA-60-602P Sequoia lost engine power during takeoff and overran runway 24R at Jandakot Airport (JAD/YPJ), Western Australia. Two passengers suffered minor injuries, and the aircraft sustained minor damage. The emergency services have arrived at Jandakot Airport after a twin-engine aircraft veered off the runway and into vegetation.
Just after 3.30 p.m., the Department of Fire and Emergency Services was notified that an aircraft had “skidded” off the airstrip.
