Circumstances:
On 15th October 2023, a Cessna 172M Skyhawk, registered VH-JUA, while on approach to Bob Whittle Murwillumbah Airfield (YMUR), crash-landed in a field south of Tygalgah, NSW. The solo pilot, a 20-year-old, experienced only minor injuries but was taken to the hospital for checks. The aircraft incurred substantial damage.
