Circumstances:
On 21st October 2023, “The Mudskipper,” a wing-in-ground effect homemade aircraft designed and built by 34-year-old James Greenberger of Canberra, crashed on a reef near Edwards Island in Western Australia. Both occupants of the aircraft sustained minor injuries when the plane partially sank. Greenberger, now a resident of Perth, has previously been recognized for his unique creations, notably for a homemade hovercraft that gained significant attention.
