Circumstances:

**A Beechcraft B200 Super King Air, operated by Eastern Air Services, encountered undercarriage issues shortly after takeoff from Newcastle Airport. After taking off at approximately 8:30 AM, the pilot, Peter Schott, detected problems with the landing gear. He flew in a holding pattern, attempting to resolve the issue and to burn off fuel. Despite multiple efforts to deploy the landing gear, the issue persisted, leading to a decision to perform a gear-up landing. The aircraft landed safely at 1:15 PM on Newcastle Airport’s runway 30. The pilot and two passengers emerged unharmed, thanks to the pilot’s skillful handling of the emergency. The incident was marked by the pilot’s calm demeanor under pressure, contributing to the successful outcome without any injuries. Authorities, including NSW Police and emergency services, were on standby during the landing, and the event is under investigation by the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB).**
