Circumstances:

On August 10, 2025, a privately operated Sport Copter gyroplane was involved in an accident at Wallsair, New South Wales.

At approximately 14:00 local time, while taxiing after arrival from Scone Airport, the gyroplane became bogged in soft ground. As the pilot attempted to manoeuvre, the aircraft rolled over.

The gyroplane sustained substantial damage as a result of the rollover. No injuries to the sole pilot or others were reported.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) was notified of the accident and confirmed the details. The incident highlights the risks of rotorcraft operations on grass or unsealed taxiways where soft ground conditions may compromise directional control during low-speed ground handling.
