Circumstances:

After landing at Sydney on runway 34 right, Qantas flight QF405 taxied south along taxiway C while a Qantas Boeing 737 operating flight QF589 taxied west along taxiway L. As the aircraft approached the intersection, the Airbus crew observed the Boeing approaching from the left and stopped the aircraft.
