Circumstances:

The remotely piloted aircraft was undergoing aerial flight testing near Adelaide when it stopped responding to control inputs. Despite attempts to regain command functionality, the RPAS was unable to resume controlled flight.

The aircraft subsequently collided with a greenhouse located north of Adelaide Aerodrome. As the aircraft was unmanned, no injuries occurred.

Substantial damage to the RPAS was reported. The ATSB documented the occurrence as part of its monitoring of RPAS-related incidents.
