Circumstances:

**A minor incident occurred at Perth Airport involving two Qantas Boeing 737-800 aircraft. While taxiing to its parking position, flight QF857, operated by a Boeing 737-800 (VH-XZP), accidentally collided with another parked Boeing 737-800 (VH-VZW). The leading edge of VH-XZP’s left wing made contact with the rear of VH-VZW’s right winglet. Passengers aboard the taxiing aircraft felt a slight jolt as the contact occurred during the final stages of taxiing at low speed. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among passengers or crew. Both aircraft have undergone engineering inspections, and an investigation has been launched to ascertain the specifics of the taxiway guidance and the factors leading to the incident. The incident has sparked discussions on airport ground safety and operational protocols, particularly concerning aircraft movements within congested gate areas.**
