Circumstances:

Emergency services were called after a light aircraft made an emergency landing south of Townsville in north Queensland. Initial reports indicated the aircraft came down in a paddock near Ayr Dalbeg Road in the Mount Kelly area, just past Ayr.

Two male occupants were on board the aircraft at the time of the landing. Queensland Ambulance Service attended the scene and transported both occupants to hospital for assessment.

Subsequent reporting stated both occupants were in a stable condition. One occupant was reported to have sustained minor back pain and a minor leg injury, while the second occupant reported neck and back pain. No further details regarding the aircraft or the sequence of events have been publicly released.
