Circumstances:

The aircraft was conducting a private operation in the Howatharra area of Western Australia. While landing in stormy conditions, the pilot assessed that the aircraft may overrun the airstrip and elected to conduct a go-around.

During the subsequent manoeuvre, the aircraft collided with a tree and was reported to have come to rest on a nearby road. The aircraft sustained substantial damage as a result of the occurrence.
