**A tragic event unfolded near Bourke, NSW, when a crop duster plane engaged in agricultural operations crash-landed in a paddock under unknown circumstances. The incident, occurring around 07:50 on Saturday, 10 February 2024, resulted in the death of the 47-year-old pilot, who was the sole occupant. Initial reports indicate that the aircraft encountered a technical malfunction, leading to a crash landing that destroyed the plane. Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene. Despite the rapid response, the pilot was pronounced dead at the scene. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) has determined there was no evidence of any technical or mechanical fault with the aircraft.
