Circumstances:

On April 15, 2025, a privately operated light aircraft crashed at White Cliffs Aerodrome in far west New South Wales, Australia. The pilot, the sole occupant, died at the scene. Emergency services, including NSW Ambulance, Fire and Rescue NSW, and the NSW State Emergency Service, responded to the crash, which occurred approximately 250 kilometers northeast of Broken Hill.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is assisting police with the investigation, which includes securing the crash site as a crime scene. The pilot has not yet been formally identified, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

This incident follows a separate tragedy in the region three months prior, where a nine-year-old boy died in a utility vehicle rollover on a property near Glendara Road.
