Circumstances:

A light aircraft crashed into Fogg Dam, a recreational area southeast of Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. The aircraft was carrying two occupants – a 63-year-old male pilot and a 29-year-old female passenger.

Tragically, the pilot was fatally injured in the crash. The female passenger sustained serious injuries and was rescued from the wreckage by a CareFlight helicopter. She was transported to Royal Darwin Hospital for assessment and treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the crash are currently under investigation. Authorities will be working to determine the cause of the accident, which may include factors such as mechanical failure, environmental conditions, or pilot error.
