**A private light aircraft executed an emergency landing in a remote area known as The Head, near Killarney, Queensland. The incident occurred at around 09:30 on Tuesday, 19 March 2024. The pilot, who was the sole occupant, managed to exit the aircraft unharmed and sought assistance at a nearby property. Following the emergency landing, rescue teams were dispatched to the location to assist in the recovery of the aircraft and ensure the pilot’s well-being. Initial reports indicate the pilot made a mayday call prior to landing, prompting a swift response from local authorities and emergency services.
