Circumstances:

**A Best Off Skyranger Swift conducted an emergency landing in a paddock near Golconda, Tasmania, after experiencing engine overheating issues. The pilot, who had departed from their home airstrip intending to fly to St. Helens, was forced to shut down the engine and initiate an emergency landing when the master alarm for rising cylinder head temperatures activated. Despite achieving a safe touchdown, the limited paddock space led to the aircraft contacting a fence and rolling into a shallow ditch at the field’s end. The incident resulted in minor aircraft damage, but the pilot emerged unharmed, demonstrating effective emergency response skills under pressure.**
