Circumstances:
**During a routine flight originating and concluding at Moorabbin Airport, VIC, a Piper PA-44-180 Seminole encountered landing gear malfunctions necessitating an emergency belly landing. The aircraft successfully landed on a foam blanket prepared by emergency services, amidst strong winds which complicated the landing process. Both the pilot and passenger emerged unscathed and in good spirits following the incident, with no injuries reported. The airport was temporarily closed but has since reopened. The cause of the landing gear failure is under investigation.**
