Circumstances:

**A Cessna T210M Turbo Centurion II encountered engine issues while approaching Bankstown Airport, resulting in a forced landing. The pilot, attempting to mitigate the situation amid failing engine power, decided to leave the landing gear stowed to decrease drag, leading to a belly landing on a taxiway. The aircraft narrowly missed warehouse roofs and skidded to a halt adjacent to parked aircraft. Remarkably, neither of the two occupants sustained injuries, though the aircraft suffered substantial damage. Emergency services, including NSW Police and three ambulance crews, responded promptly to the incident, which did not affect the airport’s main runway. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority is expected to lead the investigation into the incident.**
