Circumstances:
The remotely piloted aircraft was conducting aerial photography operations north-west of Narrabri Aerodrome in New South Wales. During the take-off phase, a propeller arm failed.
Following the failure, the RPAS collided with the ground. The aircraft sustained substantial damage as a result of the impact.
As the aircraft was unmanned, no injuries were reported. The ATSB was notified of the occurrence and recorded the accident in accordance with its aviation safety reporting processes.
