Circumstances:

The aircraft was operating a training flight from Bankstown to Shellharbour. After conducting a touch-and-go from runway 34 at Shellharbour Airport, the Cirrus SR20 G6 crashed in a field near the airport.

The aircraft came to rest in the field and sustained substantial damage. The pilot, who was the sole occupant, was not injured.

Initial reporting indicated the occurrence took place shortly after the touch-and-go sequence. The ATSB was listed as the investigating agency, with further details not publicly confirmed at the time of reporting.
