Circumstances:

During climb-out on a charter flight from Darwin to Pickertaramoor, the Cessna 207 Skywagon suffered a full engine failure and the pilot declared a MAYDAY. The aircraft landed on Casuarina Beach, then took off from the beach approximately two hours later to reposition to Darwin. The ASN record classifies the occurrence as a serious incident and identifies a powerplant system/component failure or malfunction. No fatalities or aircraft damage were reported.
