Circumstances:
The helicopter was conducting aerial agricultural spraying operations in the Orange region of New South Wales. While manoeuvring at low level, the helicopter struck a wire.
Following the wire strike, the helicopter descended and collided with water in a dam below. The aircraft sustained substantial damage as a result of the impact.
The ATSB was notified of the accident and recorded the occurrence in accordance with its aviation safety reporting processes.
