Circumstances:

The aircraft was conducting a private flight and departed from Jacobs Well Airfield, also known as Heck Field, near Norwell on the Gold Coast. During the take-off phase, the Progressive Aerodyne SeaRey crashed shortly after becoming airborne.

Emergency services attended the scene, where the sole pilot, a 62-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries. No other persons were involved in the occurrence.
