It is alleged that around 8 am, the woman was driving a Kia that pulled out of a driveway onto Main Road and collided with a 12-year-old girl who was riding an e-scooter on the footpath.
The young girl from Alexandra Headland was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Fortunately, she is now recovering at home.

The 21-year-old driver has been charged with one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm. She is scheduled to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on October 22nd.
