Incident Overview
A man has died after the van he was driving collided with a parked semi-trailer in an industrial area of Melbourne’s west. The crash occurred early Wednesday morning and caused extensive road closures and emergency response activity.

  • Crash Time: Just before 8:00am
  • Location: Fuller Road, Ravenhall, VIC (approx. 20km west of Melbourne CBD)

  • Vehicle 2: Parked semi-trailer

Injuries/Fatalities

  • Deceased: 57-year-old male van driver from Werribee; died at the scene
  • Others: No additional occupants or injuries confirmed at this time

Crash Description
The van collided with the rear of a stationary semi-trailer. The front of the van was severely crushed, trapping the driver. Emergency responders from Fire Rescue Victoria, Ambulance Victoria, and the State Emergency Service were on scene. It took more than three hours to fully assess and secure the scene.

Investigation
Victoria Police have established a crime scene and commenced an Investigation into the cause of the collision. As of now, the exact circumstances remain undetermined.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has relevant dashcam footage to contact them.
