Incident Overview
A 39-year-old Scarness man died and a 30-year-old Urangan man was seriously injured in a collision involving an e-scooter and electric skateboard on Wednesday, 15 July 2026.
Location and Time
The collision occurred on the Boat Harbour Drive bike corridor between Ann Street and Robert Street at about 7pm.
Fatality and Injuries
The e-scooter rider died at the scene. The electric skateboard rider was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital with serious injuries.
Police Investigation
Investigations into the circumstances leading up to the collision remain ongoing.
