A 45-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle traffic crash at New Beith last week, Sunday, June 23.
Initial investigations indicate just after 9pm, a Chrysler station wagon was travelling along New Beith Road towards Pub Lane when it collided with a Dodge Ram utility travelling in the opposite direction.
The Chrysler driver, a 45-year-old Silkstone man, was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition where he passed away last night, June 29.
The Dodge driver, a 56-year-old Springfield Lakes man, and his passenger, a 14-year-old boy, received minor injuries.
Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact police.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
