A 17-year-old male passenger who sustained serious head injuries in a crash in Ferny Grove on July 9 has died in hospital.
The serious, single vehicle traffic crash occurred on Lanita Road just before 7pm when a Toyota Aurion ran off the road and rolled down an embankment.
Two other 17-year-old males who were occupants in the car at the time were transported to hospital in stable conditions.
Police continue to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision from the area to come forward.
The Forensic Crash Unit and Inner West Child Protection and Investigation Unit are investigating the cause of the crash.
