Investigators are renewing their appeal for witnesses, CCTV and dash cam footage following a fatal hit and run traffic crash in Mornington in Mount Isa on Saturday, November 5.

Around 1.20am a vehicle was travelling along Moore Crescent when it struck a male pedestrian.

A 30-year-old Healy man died at the scene.

Mount Isa District Crime and Support Services Detective Acting Inspector Meagan Johnson said police are urging anyone in the community who has information about the incident or who may have CCTV or dash cam evidence to come forward.

“We are renewing our appeal for information to anyone who may have been in the Mornington or Mount Isa in the early hours of Saturday, November 5 between 12am and 3am to please contact police as investigations into the incident continue” Detective Acting Inspector Johnson
