Police have charged a man following investigations into a fatal two vehicle crash at Maroondan on Thursday April 20.

It will be alleged at approximately 11am, a red Honda motorbike was travelling west along Bundaberg Gin Gin Road when a collision occurred with a silver Ford Ranger utility near of Mevilles Road.

The rider, a 21-year-old Avenell Heights man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

Following investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit, an 81-year-old Horse Camp man has been charged with one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.

He is expected to appear before the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 6.
